BIOGRAPHY
Born
20th October 1962 on the Northern beaches and raised
on the Northshore of Sydney, NSW. Australia
1976
- 1980 Educated at St Ignatius College, Riverview.
1981
- 1985 Attended Macquarie University and graduated
with a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting and Mass
Communications. Produced and directed my first music
video in 1983.
1988
Travelled to the United Kingdom to work in London,
England
Journeyed
from England to Guinea-Bissau in West Africa to make
a road movie that captured a 'reality' of the world
at the end of the 20th Century.
Commissioned
to paint my first artworks.
1988
- 1991 Gained experience working in the UK film and
television industry and travelled around the world
before returning to Australia.
1992
Artists Unknown: Co-ordinated a group art exhibition
and fashion show in Sydney.
1993
- 1994 Artists United: Exhibited with various artists
at cafes and nightclubs.
1994
Bristow Films established to make films and contract
to the film and Television industry. Provided services
to Sony Music, Southern Star, Film Australia, ABC.
1997
Walking the Street: Exhibit oil paintings as part
of the Festival of Newtown which annually showcases
local artists work in retail shop windows along King
Street.
1998
That's why I like Indonesia: Travelled to the Mentawai
Islands in Sumatra, Indonesia and made a surfing movie.
1999
Bristow Films Pty Ltd incorporated as a company. To
date, have provided services to Beyond International,
ATN7 and other media companies.
Thought
Police are Watching: Short film selected as a finalist
in the 10th Melbourne Super 8 Film Festival.
XAFRIKA:
Completed an independently financed film selected
as a finalist in the 18th Annual A.T.O.M. Awards 2000
in the category of 'Creative/Innovative Production'.
2001
Future is Bright - 'One-man' exhibition and premiere
of XAFRIKA.
2002
The Piece and the Quiet: Completed final draft of
a feature film screenplay based upon a short story.
